Registered Social Worker

I completed my undergraduate degree in Social Work at the University of Calgary, succeeding with a diploma in Social Work at Mount Royal University.

Working with the Provincial Health System, I have walked beside individuals impacted by mental health and addictions. In doing so, I have assisted in building confidence, addressing past trauma/grief, and utilizing a strengths-based, client-centred approach to healing.

This work has guided me in further developing my education and training, focusing on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I have completed my DBT Foundations Course and DBT for Adolescents & Families (DBT-A), specifically focusing on DBT in schools.

I am committed to higher education, recently completing a Master of Clinical Social Work.

By day I am a Registered Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Work (ACSW). By night, I can be found in my workshop creating and building.

Mom of two teenage humans and one mischievous pup named Kobe, a passion for people and a newfound passion for woodworking.

As a visible minority with a life that has been filled with adverse experiences, hardship, and hurdles, I have had to heal, gain the skills to cope and build myself a toolbox that has created the solid foundation that I continue to develop this life on - a life that the circumstances of my past will not determine, events that were out of my control.

Rising in Hope was established to provide our communities, individuals, families, and employers with a solid foundation to promote health, wellness, and resilience.
